City Designates Sites to
Drop Off Christmas Trees for Recycling

Peoria is working with several retailers and one church to provide centralized locations where residents can drop off their Christmas trees for recycling. The drop-off locations are:
• Christ Church of the Valley, 70th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.
• The Home Depot, 9201 W. Peoria Ave.
• The Home Depot,  25650 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway.
• Lowe’s, 8497 W. Thunderbird Road.
• Safeway, 20713 N. 83rd Ave.
From Dec. 28 through Jan. 10, management at each location will provide a corral where residents can leave used trees. The city will collect the trees and take them to a local farm to be chipped and used for mulch.
